The Bank of Japan substation in Otaru is established and starts business. |

The substation is upgraded to sub-branch. |

A laboratory for analyzing gold dust is founded at the Otaru sub-branch; purchasing of gold dust begins. |

The sub-branch is upgraded to the Bank of Japan Otaru Branch. |

Construction of a new building begins. |

Construction work on the new building is completed. |
1928 |

Purchasing of gold dust at the Otaru Branch is discontinued; the analytical laboratory is shut down. |

The Bank of Japan Otaru Branch is closed down, and its business is transferred to the Sapporo Branch. |
