The Architecture of the Bank
The original Otaru Branch building was built using the state-of-the-art construction methods and materials of early 20th century Japan.
This section explains the roof and wall structures of the building, and introduces the works of Uheiji Nagano, who, under Kingo Tatsuno's supervision, took on responsibility for the detailed work of designing the building.
